Bluegrass Advanced Materials is developing controlled released products to deliver naturally occurring antioxidants. Currently we have SBIR funding to develop a suspension of curcumin polymer to prophylactically treat oral mucositis. We have SBIR applications under review to develop a curcumin polymer film to prevent post-surgical adhesions. Our business model is to develop, demonstrate safety and efficacy, and then license out the products.

    Dr. Shah has over 8 years of experience in biomedical polymers, polymer synthesis, controlled drug delivery, characterization techniques, wound healing, in vitro and ex vivo studies, and imaging.

    Dr. Dziubla has extensive experience in the synthesis and characterization of antioxidant-PBAE polymers as well as biochemical assays for oxidative stress and inflammation.He also has experience with microparticle manufactoring methods.
