Our organization seeks to connect urban youth to nature. It is our belief that intimate contact with nature provides numerous benefits to the individual and the society in which they live.     Andrea d’Amato is Department Chair, Mathematics, and Teacher, Mathematics, of low-income high school students at Manhattan Hunter Science High School in New York City. She is concurrently pursuing her MBA part-time at NYU-Stern, focusing on Finance, Economics and Statistics. During her five-year tenure at Manhattan Hunter, Andrea has successfully planned and executed several treks into the Catskill Mountains with over 300 students.

  • Asher Fink

    Asher Fink, COO, Junkluggers, brings knowledge and experience in high-growth companies to the team. While also pursuing his MBA part-time at NYU-Stern, Asher has overseen the explosive annual growth of his own company, which informs his choice to help grow B2R into a successful non-profit endeavor. His strategic mentality and desire to give back to his community is compounded by his experiences serving as a combat Staff Sergeant in the US Army.

  • Eric Eisenstadt

    Eric Eisenstadt is a former farmer, solider and corporate lawyer who currently teaches Biology, Physics, Evolution and Astrophysics alongside Andrea at Manhattan Hunter High School in New York City. As Department Chair, Science, Eric has been integral in the creation and development of the high school science curriculum, including twice-annual backpacking trips for his students to truly learn about the role of nature.
