BITACORA EXPEDITIONS was created to develop quality tourism products in the most bio diverse areas of Ecuador where there are currently no operations, to offer visitors with a unique experience while enhancing the conservation awareness and the participation of local communities. We have a team of professionals with over 75 years of combined experience in nature oriented tourism companies in Ecuador and Latin America.

    At age 44 he has 25 years of experience in development and management of nature oriented tourism products under difficult logistic conditions in Ecuador and Central America. He has lived in the Amazon basin for over 10 years and has strong relations with local indigenous communities.

  • Luis Roberto Maldonado Robles
    Marketing VP

    He has been recognized as one of the pillars of tourism development in Ecuador. He was Senior VP of the largest tourism operator in Ecuador for which he has all the knowledge and contacts to position our products in the market. He speaks four languages fluently.

  • Hector Ruben Proaño Haro
    Operations Manager

    He has over 15 years of experience in tourism operations in the Amazon Basin of Ecuador. Few people have his relations with communities, local authorities and suppliers in the area.
