Almost 20 years ago, I developed a borderline-unhealthy interest in the concept of powered aerodynamics. Since then, I've educated myself on the subject and patented the mechanism to tune an aerodynamic phenomenon called Static Pressure Thrust, which is needed to achieve maximum aircraft fuel efficiency. Now I'm looking to leverage that advantage and create a new generation of wider, better airliners around this game-changing technology.

John is the designer of the only two airplanes to fly around-the-world without refueling, Voyager and the Virgin Global Flyer. John also said this about this effort: "The concept of reducing drag by active boundary layer control has been around for a long time and has been proven to work. But it has not been used in commercial applications. The time is right to apply this technology to commercial aviation."
