Birchwood Energy addresses two vital concerns of society: climate change and energy security. We will capture CO2 emissions from coal-fired power and other industrial plants, and chemically convert them into usable, synthetic crude oil. At scale, each of our plants will produce 13,000 barrels, or over 500,000 gallons, of synthetic fuel per day from the output of an average-sized coal plant with daily carbon emissions of over 4,300 tons of CO2.
