Globally, 2 billion people suffer from anemia. Close to 1 million deaths occur - mostly in low resource settings, and mostly children below 5 and pregnant women - due to undiagnosed anemia. Biosense has developed and is commercializing a low cost, non-invasive, portable, battery-operated, anemia screening device for use in low-resource settings by doctors and health workers.
