    Chairman & CEO

    25 years in marketing management. At Petrolon, Jim led Slick 50, the most successful new product introduction in 20 years, creating a new retail category. He grew sales from $2 in 1990 to $138 million in 1992 when acquired by a PE firm. Quaker State purchased Slick 50 after sales had dropped to $56 million. In 1995, Jim came back and drove sales to $97 million within 18 months. This team has led 10 similar launches in additives.

    President & Chief Operating Officer

    Tom was vice president of sales and marketing for a number of automotive startups. At EMTA, Tom launched XenTx where he gained distribution at 10,000 retail outlets in just 12 months. Headed the $500 million Automotive Aftermarket Division for Texaco Lubricants where he took $50 million out of costs, increased market share from 11.8% to 14.2% and moved from #5 to #2 in market position.

    Rich has been involved in 25 start-ups, played a key role in nine of them. Investment banker with Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse First Boston and UBS and a private equity investor with a $4 billion firm backed by AIG.

  • Harold Shaub
    CTO

    Ex-head of R&D for Slick 50, VP of Technology for Quaker State and 29 years in R&D at Exxon where he developed several innovative oil products including Uniflo motor, the fuel saving motor oil for which he won the Thomas A. Edison Award in 1990. He holds 41 US patents, published 14 peer-reviewed articles and earned a PhD in chemistry from Carnegie Mellon.
