Serial entrepreneur and 25 year furniture industry veteran Edgar Blazona founded BenchMade Modern in an effort to make the sofa buying experience more user-friendly. The self-taught furniture designer also founded TrueModern, a national furniture wholesale company with its flagship showroom in San Francisco; and Modular Dwellings, the first modern prefab backyard structure company that made its building plans available through ReadyMade magazine.

For more than 20 years (as managing partner of Lefkowitz & Company LLP), David has advised numerous startup companies concept through business launch. Companies including Method Products, Tumlis, Own Products, Karas Cupcakes, etc. have all benefitted from his guidance and execution. He assumed the CEO role of a public, and troubled, transportation company, successfully liquidating its money-losing subsidiaries, and preparing the company for sale.

Before joining the BenchMade team, Brice Milano spent the previous four years as the Chief of Staff to Jason Calacanis at LAUNCH. While at LAUNCH, Brice acted as the Fund Manager of the LAUNCH Fund, Executive Producer of the LAUNCH Festival and other LAUNCH events, and General Manager of the LAUNCH Incubator. Brice applies his early stage startup experience to deploy lean startup growth tactics for both company operations and marketing

Allen Gasper joined the BenchMade Modern team with 22 years of manufacturing and production management experience. As operations manager, most recently at a multi-machine, fast-paced display system production facility, Allen has helped companies improve production efficiency by developing custom manufacturing processes that track and optimize productivity which greatly reduce errors and waste.
