Company Summary

Handana was created by Katie Niemeyer, a nurse anesthetist and mother, while training for her first marathon in 2011. Due to very sensitive eyes, Katie designed this sweatband to wipe sweat or snot during her workouts. Handana is a high performance fashionable sweatband that takes the place of those terry cloth wrist bands from the 80's. Made of a wicking soft yet durable fabric, Handana handles the sweat and inspires others along the way!

    Katie was born and grew up in St Louis, Missouri. When Katie was 16 years old she survived Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and 3 weeks in a burn unit. This event was life altering and directed her ambitions of serving others and embracing life in every endeavor. Katie completed her BSRN at Barnes College School of Nursing in 1994 and an MS CRNA in 2002. Presently, Katie lives in Austin, TX with her husband Jeff and two children, Emily and Bennett.
