Company Summary

BCS provides real-time information to help paediatric clinicians care for hospitalized children. Our product, Bedside Paediatric Early Warning System (BedsidePEWS), generates a single score of a child's health status and notifies clinicians of clinical deterioration. Early detection and intervention reduces impending code blue events and potential transfer to a Paediatric ICU. Our customers are any hospitals that provide care for children.

    Raj is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years experience in the healthcare industry. He started his career in front-line clinical practice as a respiratory therapist before developing his business leadership skills. Prior to joining BCS, Raj led the healthcare practice at NCR Canada. He has also held sales / business development roles at Cerner Corp, xwave Healthcare, and GE Healthcare. He graduated from The Michener Institute and U of T.

    Dr. Christopher Parshuram
    Chief Scientific Officer

    Dr. Parshuram is the CSO and a founding member of BCS. He is a practicing paediatric physician at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and is the inventor and driving force of BCS’s flagship product, Bedside Paediatric Early Warning System (BedPEWS.)
    In addition to his roles at SickKids and BCS, Dr. Parshuram is a senior scientist in the SickKids Research Institute and an associate professor at the University of Toronto.
