Backseat works through a smartphone app. When you want a ride, you open the app and see a map with the locations of the nearest Backseat drivers. Simply select where you want to be picked up and where you want to go. The app will then connect you with the closest available driver. The app shows you your driver’s name, phone number, the driver’s rating by past passengers (out of five stars) and photos of the driver and the car.
