Trung is a serial entrepreneur; his first start-up, Nightlife Passport, is an event management platform for nightclub and concert promoters. Trung was focused on business development and grew revenues to over $125k within the first 6 months. HOOKUPVIP merged with a mobile-first, Alfiee (www.alfiee.com). Trung has a background in finance, completing all 3 CFA exams within 18 months. He has a BBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business.

Manu is a former Wall Street investment banker with Citigroup and private equity executive with Paine & Partners in Chicago. Manu brings a wealth of financial and direct management experience with portfolio companies, including financial modelling, due diligence, legal, budgeting, and strategic initiatives. Manu has a BBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business.

Alan has direct experience in designing and manufacturing home products with Olympus Group International in Shenzhen, China. He has worked directly with Chinese factories and is able to navigate their manufacturing and quality control practices. Alan recently worked for Corel as a UX/UI designer for their CorelDRAW application. Alan has spent two years studying Mechatronics (McMaster) before getting his B.I.D. from Carleton University.

Marc has experience in both the start-up world and corporate world, first with ATS Automation as a vision engineer, where he designed optical systems and computer hardware for image processing applications. He was lead engineer at Kiwi Wearables (www.kiwi.ai), where he was responsible for designing the firmware and application for their Bluetooth wearable product “Glance”. Marc has a B.Eng in Mechatronics from McMaster University.

Clifton has designed the mechanical systems for AyA Kitchen & Baths, which include bi-folding kitchens and table extensions. He has experience engineering new products from concept to prototype to manufacturing. Not only does Clifton possess 3D modeling and manufacturing experience, he has a Mechanical Technologist diploma from Humber College, as well as a MASc in Mechanical Engineering from Carleton University.

Nabeel focuses on low-level firmware development, which includes Bluetooth, 3G/4G, Wifi, sensors (including temperature, humidity, and light) as well as integration with other IOT devices. Nabeel was responsible for the entire firmware development for Bionik Labs wearable fitness tracker product, including its sensors, MCU and Bluetooth development. Nabeel has a BSc. in Electrical Engineer and specializes in firmware development.

Matthew Vultaggio has 6 years running social media campaigns for various brands, with a focus on the Music industry. His experience extends into digital marketing, with a focus on Google and Facebook ads. At AXIS, Matthew is the 'voice' of the company, directly engaging with the community and managing all aspects of our social platforms, as well as our website development. Matthew has a Dipolma in Marketing from Sheridan College.
