The charity provides specialist dementia care - 80% of care home residents have been diagnosed with dementia or mental health issues. Through its Philosophy of Care concept, the charity’s mission is to help improve the quality of life for all those individuals it cares for by combating the three curses of old age - loneliness, helplessness and boredom.

    Cedric joined Avante as CEO in 2008. Cedric was previously CEO of Adepta, a multi regional charity that supported people with learning disabilities, autism and/or mental health problems. During his 12 years in post they grew from a local service provider supporting 90 people, with 100 staff and a turnover of £2m to one that supported over 750 people, employed over 1000 staff and had an annual turnover approaching £27m.

    Finance Director

    Debbie joined Avante as Company Accountant in 2000 and was promoted to Director of Finance and Resources and appointed as Company Secretary in 2003. Debbie was confirmed in post as Deputy Chief Executive in 2009, in addition to her role as Director of Finance and Resources. Debbie is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management
