Alexis is a social entrepreneur with over 20 years’ experience leading social initiatives in Latin America and Europe, with expertise in sustainability design, strategic thinking and visual communication. He is a certified trainer in Socratic Dialogue, Sociocraciy, Design for Sustainability; Alexis blends his communication expertise with Political Science, Sociology and Social Ecology and is co-founder of social enterprise Barcelonya.

Heloise has 14 years’ experience developing learning for sustainability programs in Europe and Latin America. She teaches at ESADE Business School, is author of various publications, cofounder of the catalan eco-entrepreneurial business Association, editor of Education and Sustainability magazine, coordinator of a Regional Centre for Expertise in Education for Sustainable Development, a Chartered Environmentalist and co-founder of Barcelonya.

Graduate in International Business, David has developed expertise in the collaborative economy, recently co-organising the Ouishare Tour in Germany. He has worked with various social economy initiatives and permaculture projects in Latin America, is a nature and outdoor sports enthusiast, speaks fluent English, Spanish and German and interpreter for German Sign Language. David has been working with Barcelonya and the Avalon team since 2012.
