Breathscape™ is an iOS application that promotes meditation, anxiety reduction, relaxation, and sleep induction through deep slow breathing (DSB). Using only a smartphone, this software connects users with their breath and supports healthy abdominal breathing patterns. By hearing music generated by their own breath users become more aware of their respiratory rhythm and naturally begin to take slower, deeper breaths.

  • Robert Alexander
    Co-Founder and CEO

    Robert holds a Ph.D. in Design Science from University of Michigan. He manages business development, partnerships, and fundraising. As a NASA Fellow he pioneered research in the field of data sonification. For this research he was featured in Origin Magazine’s list of the top 100 creative leaders. Prior to AuraLab, he was a Chief Innovation Officer at UofM, and the Psychology department chair for the MSc/MET program at HK PolyU School of Design.

    Co-Founder and CTO

    Ben is responsible for the software development. He received a BA in Sonic Arts from University of Michigan where he went on to become Sr Digital Developer at the College of Engineering. For 7 years he built interactive multimedia experiences for the web and mobile devices. In 2014 he was a featured technologist at CERN and his original compositions have been used in film and by industry leading brands including Lincoln and Herman Miller.
