ArBolivia (UK) Ltd will support a comprehensive programme of poverty reduction through sustainable land management, focussing on commercial forestry together with smallholder organisations in the Bolivian Amazon.

ArBolivia works with 1000 farmers and 18 native tree species plus, for the established local market (from 2014) and for export (from 2027).

We will also produce high quality carbon credits for sale on the international market.

    Anko is our project manager in Bolivia and has been CEO Sicirec Bolivia, the company set up to manage the project, since inception. Anko has a degree in forestry management from Waageningen Univeristy and worked as an expert in international forestry at the UN FAO. He was appointed as project manager to the FAO pilot project from 2002-07 and became CEO of Sicirec Bolivia in 2007.

    David has been a pioneer in the devolopment of the retail SRI market in the UK through his company Ethical Investments, which has been a leading consultancy in this field since 1996. In 2009 he set up The Cochabamba Project Ltd together with John Fleetwood , TCP is a pioneering co-operative society whose 450+ members have contributed over 3m$ to the ArBolivia project. David is also a director of the Climate Connected Benefit Society

    Like David, John has been a pioneer in the retail SRI market for many years through his company Ethical Money and was responsible for establishing the Ethical Investment Association, which is now the primary trade association in the UK for practitioners in this field. As well as his roles with Ethical Money, ArBolivia and The Cochabamba Project he is a director of MAD investing and an adviser to a number of investment institutions in the UK.
