Our founders each have over 7 years experience developing yeast strains for the production of benzylisoquinoline alkaloids, a class of plant natural products that contains over 2500 different molecules and a wide variety of pharmacological activities. We have hired a strong team of biologists, chemists, and fermentation engineers to help bring this technology to market. Our initial targets are opioids with plans to expand to other BIA molecules.
