She earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard and her Master's degree from University of Pennsylvania, and is a CFA. She worked at The Capital Group, an investment management company based in Los Angeles from 1994 to 2010. She invested in listed equities in a wide range of industries across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
