Matthew has studied sustainable design for many years and has toured anaerobic digesters in New England and China. As the founder of Anaerobic Energy LLC he has developed the financial and logistical aspects of the business and has jointly researched process optimization with Rui Fernandes. Thus far Matthew has involved a variety of stake holders including, an engineering firm, a business park, a waste hauling company, and soon, an investor.

Rui has an outstanding history of small business development, process engineering, and 3-D modelling. His professional career has included working with successful start-up companies as well as established engineering firms. He has led the design effort for the company's unique model of anaerobic digestion.
