In 2013, due health issues, she lost both her legs, but staying true to her passion for community connectedness, she started AMPed Up – a Clothing line for and by amputees. She’s spreading the word about her journey through her public Eman Rimawi facebook page. She's publishing graphic novels and children's books where differently-abled people are main characters, as well as facilitating workshops to support people who employ differently-abled.
