Company Summary
Algae Natural Food SAS will provide large quantities of microalgae in sustainable manner: using industrial by-products such as carbon dioxide, minerals-enriched waste waters, and heat, with no needs of arable land.
The production technology is a closed cultivation system. That cultivation approach enables high quality microalgae in a controlled environment, production throughout the year, while keeping production costs low.

Detlef WeberM. WEBER is the project initiator of the new company ALGAE NATURAL FOOD SAS. He leads the company and manages the technical, production, quality & certification part of operations.Process Engineer and holds a PhD in physical chemistry, Detlef developed solid competences in chemical, fine chemical, agri-food and food domain mainly as CEO in small and medium international companies. Since 2010, Detlef WEBER is the interface in France of the IGV GmbH research institute in order to manage a microalgae industrialization project, based on the patented technology HORIZON.

Strategy and FinanceHolding a Master in business economy (St Gallen) and an Executive MBA from INSEAD, Francis Kurz developed a solid experience in management and strategic development in the pharmaceutical industry. Since 2008 Francis assists entrepreneurs in succeeding their Startup and company manager in project and strategy implementation particularly in the nutrition and health domain.

Philippe GranvillainPhillipe Granvillain is our expert in micro algae biotechnology. This related to the culture and transformation into ingredients and market development. He takes the lead for Marketing, Commercial, Research and Development.Holds a fine chemical and sea chemistry M.Sc. (University of Bretagne Occidental) and second degree in Management from the McGill University in Montréal.
Philippe has 18 years experience in R&D, production and site in the sea biotechnological sector management (algae and microalgae, organic compound) applied to the cosmetics, aquaculture and pharmaceutical domain in different French and Canadian companies.
