Company Summary

Alerta Family serves family caregiving to enable aging-in-place. Our products help keep the care recipient, who is elderly or who suffers from dementia, safe and comfortable, while bringing the family caregiver peace of mind.

Our Alerta Patch & Wedge is a wearable monitor that alarms if a care recipient has wandered. We are adding a "fall detection" feature to the product and developing a platform of products that communicate with a phone.

  • Founder and Chairman

    John founded Alerta Family, Inc. in 2015, with the concept of developing a wearable device to monitor dementia-sufferers who wanders. John is the founder and principal of Aberdeen Partners, a real estate and construction management firm, and formerly Vice President of Reid Associates and Managing General Partner of Garden Homes LLC.

  • Chief Executive

    Justin formally joined Alerta Family in August 2020, after having worked as a vendor to the company since mid-2018. Justin is the principal of Allazo Electronics, Inc., an engineering and manufacturing firm based in Dallas, Texas. Justin was formerly at Air Liquide SA for fifteen years, in various operational and leadership positions, including expatriate assignments, having led organizations as large as 800 employees with $380 million in sales.

  • Ken Campbell
    Chief Engineer

    Ken joined Alerta Family in September 2015 and has led several product developments, including the Alerta Patch & Wedge. Ken's career spans 40 years, with experiences in engineering, manufacturing, and general management. He was formerly Vice President of Xerox Printing Division, CEO of two start-up companies, and new technology consultant to the medical equipment industry.

  • Jeff Seeley
    Operations Manager

    Jeff is a founding member of Alerta Family and bring over 30 years of retail sector operations management experience. Jeff was formerly at Sam’s Club for two decades, ascending to responsibility for a $150 million revenue store in Virginia, with over 260 employees.
