A tenured University of Alabama Professor and UA Birmingham Associate Professor, Member of the Executive Board of the Center for Mental Health & Aging, Dr. Parker is the inventor of the ARP. He is a National Institute of Aging Post-Doctoral Fellow, who was selected by the Hartford Foundation and Gerontological Society of America as one of the top 10 geriatric scholars in the U.S. He is a retired Lieutenant Colonel.

Currently serving as the Director of Benefits at the University of Alabama and has helped shape the ARP to be suitable as an employer-offered benefit for UA employees. He has comprehensive senior-level experience in human resources, benefits, marketing, sales, and strategic planning. A former Director of Benefits at BellSouth Corporation, he has firsthand knowledge of the type of benefits corporate decision makers would find appealing.

Johann has over 10 years of experience delivering web-based services. He has an MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and M.Eng, B.Eng from Vanderbilt University.
