Company Summary
Adient's first product is an absorbable vascular filter for the prevention of pulmonary embolism. Each year PE claims the lives of over 100,000 Americans — more than breast cancer and AIDS. Following the protection period, the filter absorbs via hydrolysis into CO2 and water, thereby obviating filter removal surgeries and avoiding long term complications. The prophylactic IVC filter market is growing 26% annual, expected $0.5 billion by 2015.
