Company Summary

Abiogenix has created the uBox, a smart pillbox that helps people take medication better. Medication nonadherence cost the US healthcare system over $300b in 2011. While patients benefit the most health-wise from improved adherence, it is the payors and manufacturers who benefit the most financially; they use the uBox to better support their customers while improving their own bottom line.

Team

  • co-Founder

I am a mechanical engineer from UC Berkeley and MIT and I am passionate about product design that helps people. I also love robots, breakdancing, and beer. I have quite a few patents, and have also worked on a non-invasive glucose meter and innovative mobility devices. And an automatic ice cream maker, a race car simulator, and autonomous vehicles. A bit of a nerd, really, but I love it!

  • Goutam Reddy
    co-Founder

I'm an electrical engineer and computer scientist from MIT, with a couple years of clinical experience from Northwestern Medical School. I've worked on robotic legs, low-cost prosthetics, surgical instruments and mobile apps. I'm looking to make technology have a real-world impact. When I'm not slumped over a soldering iron or coding firmware, you'll find me coming up for air, getting bounced around by the ocean (aka learning to kitesurf).
