The Standard Model of Atomic Construction ("SMAC") is a method for detailed modeling of individual atoms (i.e., the elements). SMAC models are consistent with available data on suborbital types and energy states. The models also reveal the reasons behind certain macroscopic elemental properties such as hardness, brittleness and electrical conductivity.
