Company Summary

Sea4Us is a biotech start-up dedicated to discovery and development of novel pharmaceuticals. Our compound library derives from marine organisms that are unique sources of bioactive molecules. Our lead product is an analgesic for moderate to severe chronic pain currently without adequate treatment. It will be a major breakthrough in chronic pain management since it will overcome the brain-derived noxious side effects of current treatments.

    MBA; PhD, Biomedical Sciences; BSc, Microbiology and Genetics; Is co-founder of Sea4Us and acts as Business Development and Operational Affairs Manager. Experience in Neural Development, Cancer and Redox Biology at several international R&D institutions and in management. Responsible for the coordination and management of all non-scientific operational activities (including business plan development, legal affairs, funding applications).

    General Manager; Chief Scientific Officer, Regulatory Affairs, Quality and Compliance Manager

    PhD, Neurophysiology; BSc, Marine Biology; Senior Researcher, Neurophysiologist, Marine Biologist and founder of Sea4Us. Experience in R&D activities, with special emphasis in Neurosciences and Physiology. Responsible for the general management of Sea4Us, the management of all internal scientific activities and external technical, scientific and consulting entities, assuring the correct execution of the R&D objectives of the projects.

    Sales & Marketing Manager

    MSc, Information Management; BSc, Biotechnology Engineering;
    Sales & Marketing Manager and Project Manager Officer of Sea4Us. Experience in marketing and commercial departments in pharmaceutical & life science companies both in Portugal and Spain. Experience as project manager in BI and decision support projects. Responsible for supporting all project management activities of the company, data analytics, fundraising and client prospection.

    Financial and Human Resources Manager

    MSc, Accounting and Taxation; BSc, Management; Co-founder of Sea4Us and Financial and Human Resources Manager of the company-accounting and the overall financial execution of the project (budget requests, orders, payment of invoices, contracts, accounting management, submission of legal and obligatory documents to the financing entities and contributory, tax and customs authorities). Project manager and Financial Direction in several companies.

    R&D Manager

    BSc, MSc and PhD in Biochemistry; Co-founder of Sea4Us and R&D Manager of the company. Experience in scientific research in Neuroscience and Physiology, developing studies related to neuroexcitability in central and peripheral neurons, by using electrophysiological and biophysical techniques. Together with Pedro Lima, André is responsible for the management of the daily internal R&D activities of the projects.
