Ron Berenson, MD, is a Stanford and Yale trained physician, who has founded and led several successful life sciences ventures including two NASDAQ-listed companies (Xcyte and CellPro). He has 30 years of experience in corporate strategy, financing, business development, product development, clinical & regulatory affairs and commercialization of products in the medical device and biotech industry.

Paul LeungVP of Operations
Paul has 19 years of experience in product and technology development as well as manufacturing in various industries, including several medical device companies. He currently serves as the Vice President of Operations of KitoTech Medical, where he is responsible for development and manufacturing. Paul received his Bachelor of Engineering degree with Honors at Imperial College London, and a Master of Science degree at Columbia University.

Eli leads finance and business operations at KitoTech. Before KitoTech, Eli led finance at several Seattle-based biotechnology and medical device companies. Previously, he spent 8 years in public accounting at Deloitte & Touche and E&Y. Eli has a BA in Business Administration from University of Washington, a Master’s in Accounting from Seattle University, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.

John is a leading plastic surgeon who was previously Vice President of Medical Affairs at Johnson & Johnson, where he was employed for more than 10 years. Prior to J&J, he was on the faculty ( Plastics, Orthopedics, Rehabilitation Medicine Departments) at University of Iowa for 20 years. He has held the position of President of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has a BS and Dec from Grinnell College, an MD from University of Iowa.

Ed is a life sciences entrepreneur, who is CEO of Lubris BioPharma, which is developing an anti-inflammatory therapeutic protein. Lubris sold its ophthalmology portfolio to Novartis. Mr. Truitt is co-founder of Biological Dynamics on the Board and Sound Life Sciences. Previously, Mr. Truitt practiced corporate law, focusing on business formation and licensing. Mr. Truitt received his JD from University of San Diego and BA from UC Santa Barbara.

Laura Audell, MDMedical Advisor
Laura Audell MD, serves as a scientific and medical advisor. She is a pain medical specialist who is one of the leaders in the field of pain management. She has been in practice for over 30 years and currently serves as Vice Chair of Pain Management and Anesthesia at one of the three largest healthcare systems in Southern California. She completed residencies in internal medicine and anesthesia followed by a pain management fellowship at UCLA.

Robert Audell, MD was in practice as an orthopedic surgeon for over 25 years. He has a strong background in treating painful musculoskeletal disorders such as back and knee pain. He has a BS degree from the University of Southern California and an MD degree from UCLA. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at UCLA.
