Kineticurrents Company is developing the patented Hydrokinetic Generator.
The generator is essentially an elongated floating waterwheel that is anchored in place on a suitable water current. The most recent prototype tested 46.7% efficient at converting water current into electricity. The business model is to achieve FERC approval and own and operate on the outflow below an existing hydroelectric dam and sell the renewable energy to the grid
