Company Summary
EFK Group produces energy and agriculture products for industrial customers through a no-waste manufacturing process based entirely on the Croton nut, which grows indigenously across 8 African countries and has no other commercial, productive or edible use. The Company sources the Croton nut from local forest through rural BoP (Base of the Pyramid) who are paid per KG of harvest through a proprietary collection network.

Alan PaulFounder & Managing Director
Mr. Paul successfully launched and sold two companies before spending 20 years as a consultant setting up the first GSM networks in 18 African countries. Acting on his lifelong desire to build a sustainable company, Mr. Paul founded EFK in January 2012. As the Managing Director and Director of Sales he is responsible for pioneering the efficient processes, plant-based products, B2B sales and vision that keep the company moving forward.

Cosmas OchiengCo-Founder & Director of Operations
Mr. Ochieng has a diverse background working for local plant-based oil producers in Kenya. In 2008 he joined a small NGO to lead their Croton Biodiesel project which ended up being the spark and initial pilot for EFK. As the company’s Director of Operations and Supply Chain Innovation, he is responsible for managing the day to day production of the factory and building out the Croton Collection Network to meet our supply and impact goals.

Myles LutheranDirector of Finance & Business Development
Mr. Lutheran spent 5 years working at 3 venture-backed start-ups focusing on developing initial processes and fine-tuning strategies to help young companies progress from the POC stage before joining EFK in 2013. He brings a strong background, understanding, and network of the global social enterprise/impact investment community and is leads EFK’s capital-raising, along with other areas of business development, to ensure the healthy growth.
