Breakwater Chicago is a floating entertainment destination that will be on Lake Michigan, providing boaters will their first major boating destination in the Chicago Harbor, and non-boaters with access via water-taxis. This 80k sq ft floating venue will offer options, including: three restaurants, spa, nightclub, event space, private club, shoppes, and pools! During winter, the vessel will be anchored to shore and encapsulated with a clear dome.

Beau leverages his diverse background when leading the Breakwater team to realization of his floating island concept. Prior to Breakwater, Beau launched two startups, Effortless Efficiency and Heat Wrangler, both focused on increasing energy efficiency for homeowners. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Beau worked for Eli Lilly as an HVAC engineer. Beau earned a BS from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Ashvin has developed a broad range of skills including marketing, business development and product development and management with experiences in multiple industries such as medical devices, financial services and government. He has received one patent and is responsible for the launch of 7 medical devices and 2 financial services products. In addition, he oversaw government programs focused on agriculture, venture capital, & payment processing.

Vice President and Co-Founder
Liz’s experience is in private equity and real estate. Prior to Breakwater, Liz was a Vice President at Equity International where she was responsible for originating, executing and managing investments. She began her career as a banking analyst at Deutsche Bank, followed by three years at JER Parners as an associate on the LatAm real estate investment team. Liz earned a BS from Princeton University and an MBA from The Wharton School.
