AgSmarts' solutions optimize agricultural irrigation systems on a Platform as a Service (PaaS) subscription basis. Our flexible, patent pending platform includes environmental sensing nodes and industrial automation controllers that monitor fields in real-time and dynamically adjust the watering schedule based on site-specific feedback, the particular needs of the crop(s) being grown and the soil characteristics and topography of the field.

Team

  • Brett grew up and worked on his family farm in rural TN. After obtaining degrees in International Business, Brett launched his career as an entrepreneur who successfully established/operated/sold a regionally-based horticultural services based business. He has also directed financial, supply chain & business development functions for a $15bil+ multinational in the Power Generation industry and $100mil privately held Building Automation company.

  • Clayton is a 25yr veteran of the automation/controls space with expertise in both hardware and software. He has developed commercial/industrial communication technology applications in multiple industries including Building Automation. He has also developed a novel moisture detection system content using radio waves for the Agriculture industry and was co-engineer on an upgradable commercial/industrial patent-pending power monitoring system.

  • Systems Engineer

    George holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from Princeton focusing on controlling networked systems. Prior degrees in robotics and mathematics. Projects included determining and mitigating the effects of errors in complex networks, analysis of interactions in bird flocks, machine vision for real-time tracking of large groups and development of artificial muscle actuators. George grew up on a large scale potato farm in South Australia.
