Accufluidics Ltd is a spin-out from Heriot-Watt University commercializing patent pending liquid handling devices for the laboratory and point of care diagnostics market (POC), tests carried out at the doctors office or patient bed side. Accufluidics is developing novel devices that has potential to fulfill the unmet clinical need of collecting cancer cells or biomarkers from large volumes of urine allowing more effective diagnostic testing.

He is an effective team builder and project manager, having managed local, multi-site, joint venture and international alliances.

    Dr. Will Shu is the Chief Scientific Officer of Accufluidics. His PhD in Nanotechnology from University of Cambridge. Currently, he is also the group leader of Biomedical Microengineering Group and Reader in microengineering at Heriot-Watt University. He is an expert in microfluidics, biosensors and nanotechnology, and has led and successfully completed over £2M research projects and contracts related to microfluidics and medical diagnostics.
