Over 176,000,000 pounds of discarded cigarette butt waste accumulated in United States alone each year.These butts have toxic chemicals like, arsenic, nicotine and poly cyclic aromatic hydrocarbons which contaminate soil, water sources. We proposed to develop a Green Bin, which will address the cigarette butt littering issue by performing a combined role of safe disposal and bio-degradation of butts in a shorter time.
