Company Summary

Business Description
TeliApp’s mission is to enhance small businesses by enabling a next generation foot traffic generator, called Follow Us, which we launched Fall 2015. Follow Us is an automated machine learning software solution that finds shoppers near small businesses and alerts them through social media to shop at those stores. Follow Us is a subscription based service.

Products & Services
Small businesses are losing the war against big box chains. As loyal customers age out of a community, it becomes increasingly difficult to kids and new residents in communities to shop small business. Young generational shoppers today shop at malls and plazas and don’t go to “Main Street”, and it’s too expensive for small businesses to rent space in malls or shopping plazas. Small businesses pay thousands of dollars a year for Yellow Pages and services such as ValPak, which go unnoticed by the younger demographic.
Follow Us is an automated, hyper-local, machine learning service that encourages young generational shoppers through social media to shop at the small businesses in their area. Follow Us is adaptive and learns from its own history. Meaning, as shoppers respond positively and become customers of the small businesses in their area, the software pays more attention to other people who meet similar location and demographic criteria. With virtually no interaction from the small business owner, the Follow Us service can exponentially enhance its ability to seek out humans who will convert positively in to paying customers.

Markets
There are 23 million small businesses in the US. Our target market are owners of small businesses. Our MVP launch is with a focus on small business restaurants, hair and tanning salons. We believe that we will incur a net positive gain of at least 5% month to month increase in sales over the first five years.

Sales & Distribution
We have developed our own data mining software to generate small businesses lists. Nicknamed “FrankenLead”, our software analyzes small business data from search engines, cross references them with public data and social media information, collects their contact details and automatically solicits them through email. The system is completely automated, making the cost of acquisition extremely low. We are currently working with Chambers of Commerce and other organizations that comprise of small businesses in order to sell Follow Us as a private label SAAS product with a low monthly subscription fee. After we’ve reached a threshold of paying subscribers, we intend to solicit larger organizations that offer solutions to small businesses. Through strategic partnerships, we can offer a significant value add service to companies with a large customer base. Our private label “hit-list” includes Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, Survey Monkey, VistaPrint, BuildASign, Zazzle, Staples, Office Depot, and others like them. We also intend to work with banks and financial institutions in the same way.

Team

  • I love to reach out to companies and successfully build meaningful, long term business relationships. I live for the opportunity to solve problems. I’ll see something that doesn’t work and have an "aha" moment and realize a method to fix the issue through software innovation. I've raised capital for my startups, grown them from inception, sold product at national retail chains and published popular software since 2000. I try to lead by example.

  • Ian brings over ten years of software design and development experience. Ian oversees server implementation, integration and scalability, and leads all front-end development. He also directs algorithmic processes and intelligence of our software. Ian has a BS from Penn State and is a PhD candidate in Bifurcation Theory from the University of Colorado.
