About this Program
XLR8UH is a first-of-its kind, award winning venture accelerator. The program, a partnership between the University of Hawai‘i and Sultan Ventures, educates, mentors and invests in University of Hawai‘i's research and talent, ranging from students to post docs, faculty and alumni.
XLR8UH is one of the first public university investment programs in the nation, revolutionizing the way innovation is commercialized at universities. Recently our program has been featured in Forbes as one of The Best Startup Accelerators of 2017. In addition, SBA Growth Accelerator Fund Competition recognized XLR8UH as one of the nation’s top accelerators 3 years in a row (2015, 2016, 2017). XLR8UH program was also awarded a U.S. Department of Commerce Regional Innovation Strategies i6 challenge grant, managed by the EDA's Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
At XLR8UH, we invest in startups, but more importantly, we invest in its people. Investing is much more than writing a check. We offer a plethora of hands on guidance to help founders achieve startup success.
