Are you a Western University alum with a business looking to scale up through angel or venture capital investment? Apply to participate in Western Angels' Demo Day -- Western’s premier investor-pitch networking event.

Over the past two years, our event has attracted over $6.1 M in investment for our alumni ventures. Don’t miss your opportunity to showcase your innovative startup to our community of investors.

Hosted by the Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship at Western University, this investor backed networking and pitch event has three important phases:

*ROUND 1: Written application*

Ventures interested in participating in this exclusive opportunity must submit an application to be vetted and selected by our venture selection committee. The top ten applications will be selected to move into ‘Round 2’.

The following is a list of questions and material that you will need to submit for your initial application. Tell us about:
- Total Equity Funding Received
- Total Debt Funding Received
- Total Grants Received
- Cumulative Funding and Investment to Date
- Cumulative Revenue Generated
- Number of Customers Served
- Average Price of your Product
- Executive Summary as a pdf
- 2 min Investor Pitch Video. This is your chance to submit a convincing elevator pitch. To be uploaded as a youtube link.
- 10 Slide Investor Pitch Deck to be uploaded as a pdf.
- 2 min Marketing Pitch Video. We want to see how you showcase your offerings to your clients, use this opportunity to show us your creativity in an advertising video, something you would use for B2B / B2C marketing.

*ROUND 2: Western Angels' Demo Day (Semi-Final)*

Our second qualifying step for Western Angels' Demo Day is to pitch in front of our internal selection committee. Each team will be allotted a 10-minute time slot to pitch, this would be a 5-minute presentation followed by 5-minutes of questions from our internal selection committee. This round will be held privately at Ivey. Hybrid accommodations can be made for companies based outside of Toronto.

The top five teams that showcase the most promising investment will be selected to pitch their funding asks to our community of investors at Western Angels' Demo Day on May 30, 2023. All selected ventures will be awarded C$2500 for qualifying Round 2.

*ROUND 3: Western Angels' Demo Day (Finals)*

The five selected ventures will be invited to participate in person at Western Angels' Demo Day on May 30, 2023. The event will take place in-person in Toronto, Ontario at the Exchange Tower.

The five companies will showcase their businesses via a 5-minute pitch to an investor, followed by 5-minutes of questions. Following the pitches, we will open private breakout rooms to encourage further networking and product / service demonstrations.

This event aims to help connect Western founders looking for seed or pre-seed investment. With a large group of accredited investors, this is your chance to make a home run. Asks at this event have ranged from $50K to $4M.
