About this Program
TMCx Accelerator - Driving partnerships between impactful startups and our health systems, corporate partners, and mentor community
The Texas Medical Center is the world's largest medical city, with more than 10 million patient visits each year. TMC Innovation serves our health system and corporate partners by curating the best emerging medical device and digital health startups who can drive value to these stakeholders.
The TMC Innovation team is seeking companies who have already demonstrated proof of concept (ideally with a large health system) and who are looking to build long term relationships with our health systems. We measure our success on the relationships (preclinical studies, clinical trials, pilots, or customer agreements) formed between you and our members and partners.
Companies of a variety of stages have found success at TMCx, from only $150k raised prior to TMCx to those raising a Series B. Medical device and digital health companies who sell to hospitals now or in the future are invited to apply.
The following themes have been recognized by TMC Member Institutions as high priority (NOTE that if your company does not fall within the Spring 2020 themes, you may still be eligible for participation in the TMCx program):
THEMES: Mental Health, Cerebrovascular (e.g. Stroke), Cardiovascular (Surgery & Electrophysiology), Trauma, Orthopedics, Chronic Disease Monitoring, Population/Public Health, Robotics (Mobile Robotics, AI, & Home Care)
