About this Program

About TMC Venture Fund:

The TMC Venture Fund is a $25 million initiative designed to fund early-stage companies and further TMC’s mission of advancing health, education, and research. Investments are made with the goal of assisting technologies and companies through R&D, operational, and clinical milestones, so that they can be successful in obtaining later rounds of investment. In addition to funding, selected start-ups will receive access to TMC’s resources and network of advisors.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and investment decisions are made twice a year in the spring and fall.

Applicant Criteria:
o Applicant must operate in the healthcare or life science space
o Special consideration will be given to applicants who have completed a TMC Innovation program, are Houston-based, have operations in Texas, or have a nexus with the TMC
o TMC Innovation Institute companies are eligible to apply after completion of their first TMC Innovation program.
o Selected finalists will be required to pitch in person in Houston
