START 2021: Cohort 1 (Style and Beauty)

START is a 3-week, 100% virtual program that helps Black and Latinx women turn their game-changing ideas from concept to reality.

Our program provides 360-degree support so you can:
--Take your idea from concept to reality
--Build a strong community and support network
--Get real-time feedback from experienced mentors who have built companies

WHO SHOULD APPLY TO THIS PROGRAM

START 2021: Cohort 1 (Style and Beauty) is specifically focused on women with game-changing ideas for the Style and Beauty industries. We are looking for participants with innovative ideas or idea-stage* businesses that fall under the following categories: cosmetics, fashion, beauty tools, beauty tech, skincare, and home decor

*idea-stage means that you have decided on an idea to turn into a business, but you haven't started building the business yet.

The program is open to Black and Latinx-identifying women founders based in the United States and US territories. If you have any questions regarding your eligibility for the program, please email programs@digitalundivded.com.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS PROGRAM

START is a 3-week virtual program with live virtual sessions held every Tuesday and Thursday 6:00pm-7:30pm EST, starting on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021, and concluding on Thursday April 15th, 2021 from. Attendance at all live sessions is required in order to graduate from the program. You must have reliable access to a Zoom account to log into program sessions.

You are also highly encouraged to participate in weekly office hours with the Entrepreneur-in-Residence, and/or program facilitators.

Our network of mentors and facilitators were carefully curated to include both BIPOC experts, and allies, who represent a myriad of identities and all of whom are aligned with digitalundivided's core values and cultural competencies. Some Facilitators and Mentors may not identify as Black or Latinx women, but they have all been carefully vetted and trained by digitalundivided staff to ensure they provide the highest level of support to our founders.

WHAT ARE THE PROGRAM FEES?

The START program is a competitive program valued at $999, but for a LIMITED TIME digitalundivided is offering the program to select participants at a cost of $350. DID’s mission is to catalyze genius in Black & Latinx women entrepreneurs, and we do that by investing in their success. Taking the current economic climate into consideration, we are offering our program at a significantly reduced price. Full payment is due before the program begins. Limited scholarships are available by application only and are awarded based on demonstrated financial need. Please note that scholarship offers are contingent upon successful admission into the program.

WHAT IS THE APPLICATION DEADLINE?
The deadline to apply is February 28, 2021 11:59pm Eastern Time (deadline extended). All applicants will be notified by March 14, 2021. Please note that the application for START is competitive and not every Founder who applies will be selected for admission.
