Powered by Acumen America and in partnership with the Center for Health Care Strategies, Adaptation Health announces "Responding to COVID-19 and Beyond: Demo Day for Medicaid Innovation," and has published this application for innovative companies to apply to present their solution to an audience of Medicaid and managed care leadership.

The event aims to connect Medicaid leaders with critical health innovations and enable these leaders to champion and implement these early-stage products and services.

The demo day series is being hosted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic’s disproportionate impact on vulnerable patient populations, as evidenced by higher infection and morbidity rates among low-income Black, Hispanic, and other minority communities relative to their counterparts. This disparity underlines the challenges experienced by Medicaid patient populations in access to equitable healthcare and SDOH services.

With input from state Medicaid leadership from across the country, the series is broken into three areas of focus. Please review the full Statement of Need in the RFI for more details.

1. Access to Health Services Leveraging Virtual Care - focusing on maternal health and behavioral health.
2. Direct Access to Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Services - focusing on food security and economic vulnerability.
3. Social Isolation - addressing its impact on health outcomes during and beyond COVID-19.

Through this application, companies and organizations that are selected to present will have the opportunity to share their solutions to an audience of Medicaid buyers including State Medicaid offices, MCO leadership, public health offices, departments of health/hospitals, Medicaid-focused investors, and various Medicaid stakeholders.
