About this Program

Shannon group’s International Aviation Services Centre (IASC) and DCU Ryan Academy for Entrepreneurs came together to create a unique Aviation and Travel Tech programme. Supported by Enterprise Ireland, the Propeller Shannon Accelerator programme will drive the growth of start-up aviation companies and participate in their success, with a goal of producing the next generation of companies of global significance.

Propeller Shannon has partnered with the global leaders in Aviation and Travel Tech in Europe such as Boeing & Datalex.

Who should apply?

We are looking to work with anyone who is early-stage working on disruptive tech, innovative ideas with domain expertise and strong entrepreneur / innovator traits that are solving real problems in the following areas:

- Aviation (including MRO, Regulation, Quality, etc.)
- Airline
- Traveltech
- UAVs / Drones

What does the accelerator programme offer?

€45,000 investment in return for 7.5% equity
There is a €15,000 participation fee
4 month accelerator programme
Tailored curriculum and training sessions

How many teams will get selected?

Propeller Shannon will select up to 12 teams to participate in. The programme cycles will run over the following periods:

Cycle 2:
26 Sep 18: Applications Open
05 Nov 18: Applications close
21/22 Nov 18: Boarding Pass Day (selection)
29 Jan 19: Sprint one commences
19 Feb 19: Sprint two commences
12 Mar 19: International Industry visits
09 Apr 20: Sprint three commences

Where is the accelerator programme based?

The 4 month accelerator will be based at Shannon Airport, Co. Clare, Ireland. The programme structure is designed to be accessible to teams based in Ireland or internationally, with a mix of mandatory attendance days as well as plenty of time for companies to pursue their own business development opportunities. What does the programme cost to startups?

As well as committing to participating fully in the programme and attending the mandatory programme days, there is a programme participation fee of €15,000 per company.

We are seeking applications from startups based anywhere in the world and will host selection day for shortlisted companies on 21/22 November 2018
