About this Program
DEIC Accelerate is a new platform to connect Virginia’s energy and sustainability startups with their next major customers and investors.
Over a 10-week accelerator program launching this Fall, cohort companies receive intensive mentorship and insight into the procurement experience from our network partners. Our partner network, led by Dominion Energy, includes a wide variety of corporations, institutions, and local governments that are looking to grow a more sustainable economy. Current partners include Dominion Energy, Activation Capital, Virginia Community Capital, Randolph-Macon College, the Town of Ashland, and Hanover County. We will continue to announce additional partners and benefits for cohort companies ahead of the September start date.
About Dominion Energy Innovation Center
The Dominion Energy Innovation Center, located in Ashland, is an affiliated innovation
center of Activation Capital that supports early-stage advanced technology companies
by providing them with the collaborative space, guidance, and resources needed to
accelerate their growth.
Founded in November 2009, the Dominion Energy Innovation Center supports great
ideas across a wide spectrum of industry sectors in addition to its focus on building the
alternative, renewable energy sector in Central Virginia. Founding partners of this
program include the signature sponsor, Dominion Energy, as well as Activation Capital,
the Town of Ashland and Hanover County.
