About this Program
IA focuses solely on foreign-born entrepreneurs seeking customer access to U.S. markets and funding. IA sources more than 1,500 applicants from around the world and selects up to 12 early-stage (pre and post revenue) companies per year. Its program is customized for each startup and includes access to seed capital and VC funding, customer acquisition, quality mentors, strategic workshops, and services providers.
The Problem
Highly qualified foreign-born entrepreneurs are starting successful businesses across the world, but are failing to expand in the U.S. because of lack of proper networks, funding, legal assistance, and advanced knowledge about how to do business in the U.S.
IA is the only accelerator in the U.S. focused on foreign-born entrepreneurs. It provides seed-stage companies with customized support to help them launch and scale in the U.S. Companies receive the following:
1. A network of U.S. investors, customers & partners
2. One-on-one coaching
3. Relocation & expansion support
4. Funding
5. Free Housing
6. Free Incorporation in Delaware and Texas
The program takes place over two 6-month phases. Phase 1 includes relocation and Visa assistance, company incorporation, and developing and executing a U.S.- centric investment and growth strategy. IA Mentors assist portfolio companies in strategic planning, networking, and customer acquisition. Phase 2 focuses on scaling and growth. At this stage, IA will identify potential investors for your startup. Investment is usually done through a SAFE instrument.
