Clean Energy Trust (CET) conducts an annual Investment Program to identify, diligence, and fund early-stage cleantech startups from the Midwest. CET sources companies who are early-stage (formation through series A) from across the clean energy, water, and agtech sectors. CET typically makes investments between $100,000 and $300,000 in these companies. Companies who receive investment join the CET portfolio and receive ongoing strategic support in addition to investment. CET intends to make between 3 and 5 investments in 2018.
Applying companies will be reviewed during Q1 2018; a select set of companies will be invited to meet in person with CET’s Investment Committee and staff in March 2018. Investments in selected companies will be completed by early April 2018. Companies who receive investment will be showcased at a public event attended by investors and potential customers in May 2018 in Chicago, IL.
