TiE New York

We are an angel investment group leveraging the global entrepreneurial knowledge, experience and resources of TiE. TiE Angels - New York is an angel investment group organized by TiE-New York in collaboration with TiE Angel groups across the globe (including TiE Silicon Valley and TiE Boston). The mission of TiE is to foster entrepreneurship through networking, mentoring and education. TiE plays a critical role in bringing together investors, entrepreneurs, service providers and public organizations to create an eco-system that fosters the genesis of great companies. TiE-New York launched TiE Angels - New York to provide entrepreneurs and start-ups with much needed seed capital and the support that they need to get to the next level. TiE Angels is governed by a Steering Committee. TiE Angels is a natural extension of the TiE’s mission to leverage our strong network to attract, evaluate, and invest in exciting business opportunities. The group is run by a seasoned group of charter members who have deep functional expertise in assessing business opportunities, financing, building winning teams and mentoring them. Given the interest and expertise of our membership, we are looking at opportunities in the Internet, mobility, software/infrastructure, bio-tech, clean-tech, finance, media/entertainment and other sectors. At TiE Angels we are sensitive to the needs of the entrepreneur to raise the funds expeditiously so that they can focus on building their venture. We are committed to a speedy/efficient investment process that is responsive to the needs of the entrepreneur. TiE Angels typically look at making investments in early stage technology companies with strong management teams across a variety of industries in amounts up to $1 million. TiE Angels is not a venture fund or an investment advisor, but rather a forum in which investors may be introduced to companies for possible investment.
