Our Investment Focus
The Syracuse Student Sandbox is open to college students in Upstate NY who are seeking to accelerate their business. We've drawn from dozens of schools in the Region as well as brought in students from other parts of the country. Accepted teams are expected to spend the 12 weeks in Central NY.
The Syracuse Student Sandbox invests in students who are (or would like to be) founders, inventors, technologists and business people. They must have 1) a passion for a product, service or business idea, 2) the skills and ability to turn that passion into a real, working business - with help and support, 3) the desire to learn while doing, and 4) the belief and conviction that THEY are the ones to create and take this business to market. The Sandbox invests in students by providing minimum operations and living costs to get the business going. NOTE: All teams are not guaranteed funding.
