Sophia Business Angels are international experienced entrepreneurs & investors focusing on high-tech start-ups with promising international development.
Our Investment Focus
During the past 15 years, Sophia Business Angels have invested more than €15 million of their own money as well as €15 million of associated private investors’ funds through ISF holdings (i.e. a total of more than €30 million in ~100 innovative companies).
SBA is located in Sophia Antipolis, the 1st European technology park located in the south of France between Cannes and Nice on the French Riviera, hosting 1,400 companies, 32,000 employees, and 5,000 students and researchers which together provide a fantastic network and access to numerous experts.
When you submit your project to SBA, several criteria will be looked at: the team’s potential and its knowledge of the market it is targeting, the business model, the potential for international scalability, the presentation of a realistic over 3-year business plan, and a need for funds in line with the business angels’ capabilities (early-stage funding is usually between €50 and 500K€).
