Riverside Angel Summit/Citrus Seeds LLC

The Riverside Angel Summit (RAS) and Citrus Seeds LLC fund connects angel investors with entrepreneurs in the Riverside and Inland Empire community.

The Riverside Angel Summit is designed to connect angel and venture capital investors (including corporate and foundation venture groups, technology scouts and business development executives) with entrepreneurs in the U C Riverside, Riverside, and Inland Empire community. While many angels understand and are experienced with investing,  the Summit will provide early-stage angel investors the opportunity to invest together as a group. They will gain access to an experienced business investment network. First-time investors will grow to be part of a robust innovation ecosystem. This ecosystem may ultimately be expanded to entrepreneurs and investors throughout southern California, but the Summit’s primary aim is to build a strong, viable, and lucrative community of entrepreneurs and investors from within the Riverside and Inland Empire footprint. Investors who join the fund will be part of a group collaborating to screen entrepreneur-submitted deals, conduct due diligence, and ultimately make investment decisions. Investors will have periodic sessions with investing experts and instructors while progressing through the process of early-stage investment evaluations and decisions.

The Citrus Seeds Fund LLC is a special purpose vehicle - SPV) established annually to invest in a company, or companies, in conjunction with the Riverside Angel Summit. The Summit conference will occur on Thursday, November 4, 2021. A Summit VIP Reception for investors, entrepreneur finalists, and supporters will be held the evening prior on November 3. The fund is expected to grow leading up to and during the event as investors watching the event learn more and become interested in one or more ventures. The eventual Riverside Angel Summit winner may receive up to $100,000 in seed capital and there may be second and third place investments as well.

Summit conference preparations are comprehensive and extensive. The program starts on September 1 with a two-month long “Entrepreneur Track” to prepare entrepreneurs via a comprehensive workshop series and provide appropriate deal flow. They will submit complete profiles (via Gust, see https://gust.com/) for investor review. Investors can expect to review vetted applications and continue to narrow the field down to (about) six (6) finalists at the November 4 Riverside Angel Summit. After several rounds of pitches and completed due diligence, one or more winners will be selected to receive investment from the Citrus Seeds LLC fund. The Riverside Angel Summit is a full member of the Angel Capital Association (ACA).
