Thank you for considering the Oregon Venture Fund for your financing needs! The Oregon Venture Fund (OVF) seeks to invest in 5-7 early-stage growth companies each year. We are continuously evaluating opportunities, so you may share your profile with us at any time. Our investors will review your plans and one of our fund managers will provide you with feedback and next steps. 

Criteria for applying companies:

• Must be based in Oregon or SW Washington

• May operate in any industry

• Should be seeking $100K to $5M in investment

• Should offer potential for a venture-type return -- i.e., 10X within 5 years

Ideal applicants have:

• Developed their product/service beyond the concept stage

• “Skin in the game” in the form of sweat equity and money from founders, family, and friends

• Founding teams with relevant demonstrated success

• A solid plan for taking their product to market, and some early traction

First-time founders and companies at the concept stage or with little invested to date may also be considered – they should simply expect the bar to be higher for the company to receive funding.

The OVF process is designed to be straightforward, transparent, efficient, and constructive for both the entrepreneur and participating investors. You may update your profile and your uploaded materials at any time. The online proifile is designed to capture the most important details about your business in a straightforward and secure manner. A short business plan executive summary is required; entrepreneurs can post additional supporting documents throughout the due diligence process, including an executive summary, financial plan, presentations, term sheets, investment subscription docs, company updates, customer letters, and anything else that may aid OVF members in their diligence.

The Oregon Venture Fund prefers equity investments, but is open to convertible debt for earlier-stage companies. We often lead the rounds we invest in, but may also follow other established investors when they lead. Investments range from $100K to $2M depending on company stage and the nature of the round.
